This site is dedicated to teaching Christ and His righteousness!
So then, what is actually behind the above statement? What could I convey to readers on this matter? The answer is that through the holy scriptures, the bible, this will be accomplished.
Don't we all want to understand the bible and be able to partake in God's blessings??? In order to understand the bible we absolutely have to rightly divide it or read it as how it was written, for and to the correct audience!
"It will greatly help you to understand scripture if you note - not only what is spoken and written, but of whom and to whom, with what words, at what time, where, to what intent, with what circumstances, considering what goes before and what follows." - Myles Coverdale
Let's focus on the New Testament (NT) for a moment. We have to remind ourselves that the men who wrote it were not only inspired by God but were limited to the resources that they had, including time, availability of the Old Testament scrolls not to mention the inefficiencies of re-writing on animal skins and the like. Yet, we have all of the books, including additional information in the Apocrypha (those books were in the original King James version). We have enough translations in addition to Strong's Concordance and many, many other resources to understand the customs, languages and culture to help us with our comprehension.
With this in mind, we have to realize the latency that occurred between when an author wrote and when it was published and when it actually got to the intended audience. They didn't have all of the social platforms and news agencies to provide up to the minute information.
E.W. Bullinger spoke of the construct of the bible in this way if I can paraphrase a bit here. He said we have the canonical (canon) order of the bible as we know it. In nearly all supporting manuscripts, the NT order as we see it today was the same! So, the four gospels, Acts, Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, etc...were all specifically written and captured in the order that we have in all bibles. But the other piece of this that is more often left out is the chronological aspect of the letters, when they were written.
Understanding this knowledge gap holds the key to being able to fully understand how God is dealing with mankind and this aspect will be an important component of bible comprehension. It will greatly assist with understanding not only our glorified position in Christ but also in navigating through end time events (eschatology).
By presenting information in this fashion, it is my hope and prayer to be able to comfort not only those that have trusted Christ, but to provide hope to all of mankind.
